Story by Jerry Bohnen, OK Energy Today|. While Oklahoma’s oil and gas rig numbers are seemingly in a constant rate of decline in the past month, some completion reports are showing continued production throughout the state.
A Bce-Mach LLC drilled well in Alfalfa County had production of 393 barrels of oil a day and 1,102 Mcf of natural gas in the Mississippian formation. The Billy Blew 15-25-11 2h, located at 22 25N 11W, a site 8 miles south of Cherokee, had a drilled depth of 11,157 feet and a true vertical depth of 5,887 feet according to the completion report. Completed in late March 2023, the well had been spud in December 2022.
Bce-Mach III completed a Kingfisher County well, the Lincoln Southeast Oswego Unit 44-2ho, with a production of 404 barrels of oil a day and 604 Mcf of natural gas. The well had a drilled depth of 11,900 feet in the Oswego formation and a true vertical depth of 6,389. The Lincoln Southeast Oswego Unit 44-2ho showed a spud date of March 2023 and completion only a few weeks later in April.
A Garvin County well drilled by Continental Resources Inc. produced 255 barrels of oil a day and 394 Mcf of natural gas. Completed in February of this year, the Highlands 1-13-18-17xhw, located at 13 1N 2W or about 4 miles north of Hennepin, had production out of the Woodford formation. Its drilled depth was 22,480 feet and the true vertical depth was 12,879 feet according to the completion report. The well was spud in October 2022.
A Johnston County well completed by Bnk Petroleum Inc. of Thousand Oaks, California had production of 805 barrels of oil a day and 723 Mcf of natural gas from the Caney formation. Located at 9 4S 4E or 2 miles north of Mannsville, the Glenn 16-3h was completed in November of last year with a drilled depth of 15,018 feet and a true vertical depth of 10,049 feet. The completion report showed the well was spud in July 2022.
