With the equity backing of Natural Gas Partners, HighMark Energy was formed in the fall of 2013 to acquire, develop and produce upstream oil and natural gas assets. Backed by a seasoned management team, they are ramping up operations in the STACK play in Oklahoma.
HighMark Energy recently entered into an agreement to acquire STACK assets from Atalaya Resources. Located in Blaine and Canadian counties, the assets consist of 4,095 acres offset by Newfield Exploration (NYSE:NFX), Devon Energy (NYSE:DVN) and Continental Resources (NYSE:CLR), in highly active areas.
The majority of this acreage lies in Blaine County as seen here on the map.

There are no current regulatory filings by HighMark with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), but here are the 2016 filings made by Atalaya in Blaine County. Expect well permits and additional regulatory filings in the near future by HighMark, in 16N-11W and 17N-11W in Blaine County.
