2015 Worst Year For Market Since 2008

2015 marked the worst year for U.S. stocks since 2008. The Benchmark S&P 500 (SPX) and the Dow Industrials (DIA) ended the year in the red while the tech-heavy Nasdaq (QQQ) was able to rise over 5%.  The outperformance in the biotech sector and a few of the big tech names helped push the Nasdaq up but its biggest component Apple (AAPL) had its first negative year since 2008.The energy sector was the main reason equities finished down overall as it was off over 20%.  Let’s hope energy rebounds in 2016.
